We’re seeing signs of life from the New England Patriots offense. Sure, it’s not going to be an eight-cylinder juggernaut, not with the paucity of talent it’s forced to deal with, but there are players here worth some consideration when it comes to fantasy football, including quarterback Cam Newton.

Fantasy Football analysis: Patriots QB Cam Newton

Last week, for the first time in three games, Newton did not score a rushing touchdown. He did, however, toss a passing touchdown and post 365 yards through the air against the Texans.

This week the Patriots play the Cardinals, a team that’s been pretty generous to opposing quarterbacks. Signal callers have thrown 18 touchdown passes against Arizona this season, averaging 260 passing yards per game. The Cardinals haven’t seen a team with so many runs designed around the quarterback as the Patriots, but with a below averaging rushing defense, they’re likely to have some problems against Newton, who makes a decent QB2 this week.
