In a heavyweight bout for UFC Fight Night, Josh Parisian will take on Parker Porter Saturday live from Las Vegas and available on ESPN+.
The 36-year-old Parisian enters the octagon as the favorite, despite this being his first-ever main roster UFC match. The rookie is currently riding a six-match winning streak and fighting in his third pro fight this year.
Parisian has a professional fighting record of 13-3, with his last fight taking place at Dana White’s Contender Series. In that contest, he defeated Chad Johnson in Round 1 via knockout using punches.
Before he made the jump to the UFC, the 36-year-old fought at WXC, Ares Fighting Championships, Motor City Cagefights, Lights Out Championships 2, LFA, KOTC, TWC Pro Series, and etc.
As for Porter, he comes to the UFC APEX with a professional fighting record of 9-6. The 35-year-old only has one UFC fight under his belt, which took place earlier this year at UFC 252 where Chris Daukaus defeated him in Round 1 via TKO.
Before that fight, the 6-foot UFC rookie fought Driel Broenstrup at CES MMA 58 in September of 2019. In that bout, Porter defeated Broenstrup in Round 3 by TKO. Just like Parisian, the Connecticut native has toured the minor league circuit, competing at Reality Fighting, Bellator, XFC, World Fighting Championship, and Combat Zone.

The 36-year-old UFC rookie Parisian is the overwhelming favorite and surprisingly one of the higher priced fighters in DFS. We do not know much about him, except he has 10 TKO/KOs wins over his career. If Parisian can get a knockout on Saturday, you could get you a lot of fantasy points.
He might be the better play since Porter only scored 8.5 fantasy points in his lone graded bout. If you don’t see anything else on the card that you like, it might be worth the risk to play Parisian.
