What to do with Ronald Jones, Leonard Fournette in Week 12 fantasy football

We go over the fantasy football outlooks of Ronald Jones and Leonard Fournette ahead of the Bucs Week 12 matchup against the Chiefs.

Game day update: Jones and Fournette both appear to have clean bills of health. There’s been no indication that either back will take the lead against the Chiefs so game script will likely continue to determine which options plays more snaps. ESPN projects both backs to hover around 12 fantasy points.

A week after Ronald Jones dominated the Buccaneers ground game, we saw a more even split between him and his backfield mate, Leonard Fournette in Week 11. That clouds the picture somewhat ahead of Tampa Bay’s Week 12 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Fantasy Football analysis: Bucs RBs Ronald Jones, Leonard Fournette

Jones still had a slight edge in carries last week, 10 to 7, over Fournette. He had just 24 yards to go with it. Meanwhile, Fournette only had 17 yards, but he did find the end zone for his first touchdown since Week 2. It was surprising because Jones exploded for 192 yards and a touchdown the week before.

Running backs are finding the end zone against the Chiefs; they’ve allowed three touchdowns to the position in their last two games. And with Brady struggling to pass the ball, the Bucs are likely to have work for both backs here. Jones is still the better choice of the two, but Fournette will have appeal as a Flex option this week.
