The Cardinals suffered a 28-21 defeat at the hands of the Seahawks in Week 11, and they’ll look now to Week 12 as they head on the road again to take on the Patriots who have allowed a huge 2.12 PPR points per target and 9.65 yards per target to WRs this season which bodes well for Kyler Murray’s passing game. However, with Murray’s apparent shoulder injury, that could also negatively impact performance for the Cardinals’ receiving corps this week.
Fantasy Football analysis: Cardinals WRs DeAndre Hopkins, Christian Kirk, Andy Isabella
DeAndre Hopkins has had quite the up-and-down season, as he’s scored over 20 PPR points in a handful of games, while also logging 11 or lower on four separate occasions. Christian Kirk had himself a fantastic few games in Weeks 6-9, in which his targets went up by a small amount, but his points output skyrocketed putting him in double digits three weeks in a row, including logging 123 yards catching 5-for-8 and adding a touchdown in Week 9. That seems to have calmed down, though, as he’s gone 4-for-6 and hasn’t broken 50 yards in the last two weeks, putting in a couple underwhelming performances.
Andy Isabella was nearly invisible in last week’s loss to the Seahawks, going 1-for-2 totaling 6 yards. He hasn’t found the end zone since Week 3 when he ran for two touchdowns against the Lions, and with Hopkins and Kirk enjoying the majority of the targets, Isabella should be completely off the radar this week in fantasy. Hopkins seems to be the favorite going forward and as long as he stays healthy, he’ll be a solid WR1 the rest of the season, especially against the Patriots this week.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start DeAndre Hopkins, sit Christian Kirk, sit Andy Isabella.
