Game day update: The timeshare continues between Kenyan Drake and Chase Edmonds. ESPN is projecting Kenyan Drake to score 13.8 points and Chase Edmonds to score 10.9 points in PPR leagues.
Chase Edmonds and Kenyan Drake both shared roughly equal time on the field last week in Arizona’s 28-21 loss against the Seahawks. They’ll be heading out to take on the Patriots in Week 12, who are 13th in the league against RBs in fantasy.
Fantasy Football analysis: Cardinals RBs Kenyan Drake, Chase Edmonds
Although both guys played roughly the same amount of snaps (Drake with 36, Edmonds with 33), it was Kenyan Drake who saw the majority of the action between the two, with 11 rushing attempts for 29 yards, while Chase Edmonds ran for 2 attempts and 13 yards. Both players saw a handful of targets as well, as Drake went 4-for-5 and 31 yards in the air, while Edmonds was 4-for-4 with 36 receiving yards. Each RB found the end zone once — Drake on the ground and Edmonds off a reception.
Drake was clearly the favorite go-to for rushing from a banged-up Kyler Murray, who seemed to be having some shoulder issues in last week’s defeat in Seattle. When Drake is active, Edmonds averages around just 8 touches per game — a number that skyrockets when Drake is out, as we saw in Week 9 when Edmonds ran 70 yards in 25 attempts with Drake’s absence. With both of them available this weekend against the Patriots, it’s safe to say that Kenyan Drake will be worth at least an RB2 spot this week while Chase Edmonds probably won’t even be on the fantasy radar.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Kenyan Drake. Sit Chase Edmonds.
