Monday pm update: Or maybe not. Adam Schefter is reporting the NFL is still considering a move to later in the week. This is a mess.
Monday update: The game remains on track to be played on Tuesday. There is still a chance of a Tuesday morning postponement, but odds would seem to be growing the game will be played. You can potentially adjust your fantasy lineups before Monday Night Football, but it is still a bit of a roll of the dice. If need big performances, a Gus Edwards or Marquise Brown could be worth a start with potential upside. Of course, with no Lamar Jackson, it lowers the upside of Edwards and Brown.
Sunday update: Mark Andrews has tested positive for Covid-19 and been ruled out for the Tuesday contest.
For the second time this week, the Baltimore Ravens-Pittsburgh Steelers Week 12 matchup has been rescheduled. The game was originally scheduled for Thanksgiving night, but the league was forced to reschedule as the Ravens dealt with an outbreak of Covid-19. The game was rescheduled for Sunday afternoon, and then on Friday the NFL announced it was moving the game to Tuesday night.
The Ravens have dealt with a double digit amount of positive Covid-19 cases between their players and staff. The facility is shut down until at least Monday, pending further testing this weekend. Quarterback Lamar Jackson is the most high profile, but the list includes running backs Mark Ingram and J.K. Dobbins, offensive linemen Patrick Mekari and Matt Skura, defensive linemen Calais Campbell and Jihad Ward, linebacker Pernell McPhee, cornerback Iman Marshall, and quarterback Trace McSorley.
Jackson, Ingram, and Dobbins all tested positive for Covid-19, which means they will not be able to play on Tuesday. However, even players who would otherwise be fine to play are better suited on your fantasy football bench rather than starting lineup due to the uncertainty surrounding the game.
Given the nature of testing and how the NFL is comfortable waiting as long as possible to make a decision, there is a chance this game remains scheduled for Tuesday as the Sunday 1 p.m. ET games get going. Then, as more test results come in Sunday or Monday, it potentially gets postponed out of Week 12, leaving you with goose eggs for your Ravens and Steelers.
You are better suited sitting the likes of Gus Edwards, Mark Andrews, and Marquise Brown due to the uncertainty. Consider alternatives for this week.
