With under a minute remaining, the Stanford Cardinal won The Big Game against their arch-rival Cal Golden Bears via a blocked PAT.
STANFORD BLOCKED CAL’S EXTRA POINT ATTEMPT THAT WOULD’VE TIED THE GAME AT 24.

Stanford was also a -1.5 point favorite, and though they might not have covered, they go home with the Stanford Axe.
It’s not the most memorable ending to this great rivalry game, but still a great finish in Berkeley. Though this was for the cellar in the Pac-12 North, one of the great academic and athletic rivalries in all of college sports coming down to the wire is always fun.
Davis Mills gets the win at quarterback for the Cardinal, and was 24-32 for 205 yards of Stanford’s 300 yards of offense on the day. Eight different receivers caught a pass, led by Michael Wilson Jr. with seven catches for 88 yards.
Cal remains winless at 0-4, and will need to find a victory over either No. 9 Oregon (good luck) or at Wazzu on December 12th to avoid ignominy.
