Game day update: Since Odell Beckham Jr. suffered a season-ending injury a few weeks ago, the Browns have leaned on their running back duo of Kareem Hunt and Nick Chubb. It’s not a bad idea since it eliminates the possibility of QB Baker Mayfield throwing an interception and controls the tempo. However, on the other side, it makes wide receivers Jarvis Landry and Rashard Higgins obsolete in fantasy.
On Sunday, they are going up against a Jaguars’ defense that is allowing 26 fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. If that’s the case and if Jacksonville commits to stopping the run, it could open up a big play or two for the Browns wideouts. ESPN projects Landry, Higgins to score 7.6 and 5.1 fantasy points, respectively.
The Cleveland Browns have the second-fewest yards receiving this season and are without its top pass-catcher for the remainder of the season.

Fantasy Football analysis: Browns WRs Jarvis Landry & Rashard Higgins
Cleveland’s number one receiver, Odell Beckham Jr, is out for the remainder of the season because of an injury. Landry has since surpassed OBJ’s stats, but he still sits under 500 yards receiving so far on the season. In fact, no active Browns pass-catcher has more than two touchdowns through the air. The team’s leader in touchdown catches is running back Kareem Hunt with four.
Higgins has two scores and hasn’t seen action in every game this season. Still, he only has 290 total yards and just 23 catches as well. On the season, Landry has just 47.8 fantasy points, while Higgins has 41.
The Jags are a bottom-10 fantasy defense against WRs, so this could be a good matchup for them. Jacksonville gives up an average if 40 points to opposing wide receivers. That could be enough for one of these guys to have a big day, but I doubt both of them will.
