The curiosity factor will be on full display this weekend at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, California when YouTube personality Jake Paul takes on former NBA Slam Dunk champion Nate Robinson in a boxing match.
Paul and Robinson are fighting on a card that is headlined by Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. meeting in an eight-round exhibition fight. While a variety of rules are in place to keep that fight from getting too far out of hand, Paul and Robinson are meeting in a much more traditional fight. It’s only six rounds at cruiserweight, but while Tyson-Jones could be stopped if a fighter gets a cut and the commission is not expecting them to go all out, all bets are off for Paul vs. Robinson like in any traditional fight.
DraftKings is partnering with the event to become the “Official Sports Betting Partner” and regulators have approved them setting odds for the card. Paul is listed as a -225 favorite while Robinson is a +165 underdog at DraftKings Sportsbook. In three-way moneyline odds, Paul is -190, Robinson is +155, and a draw is +1200.
DraftKings is also offering a pair of free-to-play pools for the card. One of them is focused on the main event between Tyson and Jones. Participants must submit eight predictions, and one of them is whether Tyson-Jones or Paul-Robinson will go more rounds. The second pool covers the four-fight main card. You are asked to pick winners for Tyson vs. Jones, Robinson vs. Paul, and Badou Jack vs. Blake McKernan. Additionally, you’re asked for winning method on all three fights and total rounds for the first two.
