The Washington Football Team features a pair of startable running backs for fantasy purposes with Antonio Gibson and J.D. McKissic. If you are a fantasy owner who has either of these players in the Washington backfield and are wondering what to do with either of them on Thanksgiving Day, let’s take a closer look.

Fantasy Football analysis: Washington RBs Antonio Gibson, J.D. McKissic

In their previous game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, Gibson led the duo by a wide margin rushing the ball with 16 carries for 94 yards and a touchdown. He also caught one of two passes for 10 yards. McKissic rushed the ball six times for 43 yards and caught three of four passes for 26 yards.

Washington utilized a run-heavy attack to defeat Cincinnati, finishing the game with 34 rushing attempts and just 25 passes. Gibson is the early down back and gets the goal line carries in the backfield.

Washington will match up with a Dallas Cowboys run defense that is ranked 31st, allowing 153.8 rushing yards per game. In its last time out, Dallas allowed Dalvin Cook to rush for 115 yards on 27 carries with a touchdown in a win over the Minnesota Vikings.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Gibson is bordering on running back No. 1 for fantasy purposes, while McKissic is a high-end No. 3 back thanks to his ability as a pass catcher out of the backfield.
