The Houston Texans passing game has been very good in recent weeks, and that’s good news for fantasy owners who have wide receivers Will Fuller and/or Brandin Cooks. What can we expect from them on Thanksgiving? Let’s take a closer look at the top two Texans pass catchers.
Fantasy Football analysis: Texans WRs Will Fuller, Brandin Cooks
In their last time out in a win over the New England Patriots on Sunday, Cooks led the Texans with the most receiving yards with 85 on four catches and five targets, while Fuller caught six of eight targets for 80 yards. Deshaun Watson found nine different pass catchers in this game, which limited the numbers for his two top receivers.
On Thursday, the Texans receivers will see an intriguing matchup with the Detroit Lions, which are not good against the pass, ranking 25th with 258.4 yards per game. Detroit is coming off a loss to the Carolina Panthers, and wide receiver DJ Moore had a fantastic game, catching seven of 11 targets for 127 yards from quarterback P.J. Walker. In addition, Curtis Samuel caught eight balls on 10 targets for 70 yards and a touchdown, while Robby Anderson caught seven of nine targets for 46 yards.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Both Fuller and Cooks can be used as No. 2 wide receivers with tons of upside with the way Deshaun Watson has been throwing the ball in recent weeks. If I had to pick between the two, Fuller would be ahead of Cooks in this week’s matchup.
