Friday Covid-19 update

The Ravens-Steelers game has been moved from Sunday to Tuesday. If the Ravens have any more positive results, it could be postponed further or even canceled outright. If you are considering either team’s defense for fantasy football, look for an alternative.

Thursday Covid-19 update

The Ravens had four more players and five staff members test positive according to Thursday evening reports. The game was moved from Thursday to Sunday, but is in danger of being postponed again. Additionally, Colts defensive tackle DeForest Buckner was confirmed as a positive Covid-19 not a close contact, so he has been ruled out for Sunday.

Covid-19 update

There are two significant pieces of information as it relates to Covid-19. The Ravens-Steelers game was pushed back to Sunday due to multiple Covid-19 positive tests among the Ravens players and coaches. Also, Colts defensive tackle DeForest Buckner was placed on Covid-19 IR. Even if it’s a close contact, it might be difficult for Buckner to be cleared in time for Sunday.

Last week was another strong one for whoever played against Carson Wentz, as the Browns led the league in D/ST points with 20. Other quarterbacks and teams to help D/STs put up numbers were the Falcons, who helped the Saints to eight sacks on Matt Ryan and two interceptions. Jake Luton amazingly couldn’t do anything against the Steelers except throw interceptions. Matt Stafford and the depleted Lions offense couldn’t score one measly point against a sup-par Panthers defense. And the Bengals, Dolphins and Jets were all able to give away double-digit fantasy point games.

These are all teams to keep an eye on moving forward, as streaming against them with your defense could be useful.

Bye weeks

There are no teams on bye in Week 12.

Streaming options

Seattle Seahawks at Eagles

Carson Wentz cannot throw the ball away competently enough to be starting at this point, but it doesn’t look like Jalen Hurts is going to get his chance anytime soon. That means we keep targeted him with our D/STs until he either figures it out or the season ends.

New York Giants at Bengals

The Giants defense has allowed the 12th fewest points per game and own the 14th best adjusted sack rate. They still aren’t a good defense, but they’ll get to face the Bengals porous offensive line with Ryan Finley instead of Joe Burrow at the helm.
