Chris Carson returns to practice for Week 12

Chris Carson is poised to return for Monday Night Football in Week 12

Thursday update: Chris Carson was listed as limited on an estimated practice participation report for Thursday. Although the team, didn’t practice, it marks the second straight day Carson has been listed as limited.

The Seattle Seahawks running back Chris Carson practiced on Tuesday and “did everything everyone else did in the 20 minutes media was permitted to watch,” per the News Tribune’s Greg Bell. Last week, coach Pete Carroll sounded positive that Carson would return this week and so far that appears to be the track he is on.

Carson injured his foot in Week 7 and has yet to suit back up. If he can return this week, it will be against a tough Eagles front seven. The team has used multiple backs in relief, as Carlos Hyde was also injured until last week.

Carson has played well this season, averaging 4.9 yards per carry, but the team started the season throwing the ball a ton with Russell Wilson. As Wilson has slightly regressed and their pass defense has been the worst in the league, Carroll has backed off early down pass attempts and now with Carson returning soon, we could see even more rushing attempts moving forward.
