The Bachelorette Season 16 Episode 7 Predictions

I’m thankful for so many things this year, and one of them is the promise of never hearing the word “smokeshow” again. Le sigh.

Oh hey, it’s your Basic Batch, back again for another week of predictions. Last week’s episode was a primer in toxic masculinity and while the guys literally were given the honor of fighting (and literally bleeding) for Tayshia’s attention, some of the guys got to show us their personality a bit more. Still loving Bennett, Joe, Eazy, and Ivan. Still annoyed with Chasen and Spencer. The jury’s still out on Noah.

Answer: Please let it not be Chasen. For the love of all that is holy, let it not be Chasen. Ugh. I have a feeling that it’s going to be Chasen. There was too much tension with him last week for the producers not to want to keep building that storyline. How the date will go is anyone’s guess. Hopefully Tayshia books him a ticket to Paradise and sends him home soon….

How many former Bachelorette contestants will make an appearance?

It’s mid-way into the season so I’m going to go with an even two. Tayshia has a few close friends she made along the way, so I expect at least two of them to show up at the La Quinta Tuesday night for our viewing pleasure. My money is at least Becca coming to visit.

How many outfits will Tayshia wear?

The girl is stunning. Brands like Herve Leger and LoveShackFancy love her. She looks amazing in anything, so I think she will wear as many outfits and dresses as she can!

How many contestants will Tayshia kiss?

• Over 3.5
• Under 3.5

WAY over 3.5 and good for her! She’s in it to win it and that means taking chances and being open to love (and heartbreak). She needs to kiss a lot of guys to find the right one. I’m fully supportive of that. Get. It. Girl.

Will her former relationships be mentioned?

• John Paul Jones
• Neither

I think unless JPJ makes an appearance (and you know he would in a heartbeat), none of the guys’ names will be mentioned. Cue the “Movin On Up” music from The Jefferson’s.

Will Clare be mentioned by name?

Hard no. I think the guys in the house are ready to move on, as is the rest of the country. This is what a peaceful transition of power looks like. Bachelor Nation is here for it.

Will anyone be sent home outside of a rose ceremony?

I think the current crop are good guys for the most part. Unless Chasen does something stupid all will stay and make it to the ceremony.

Will Ed and Chasen receive a rose?

I think Tayshia likes Ed. I think Ed genuinely likes Tayshia. But... not THAT kind of like. I think they might stay friends after the season ends though and Tayshia will not give him a rose... but the producers will give him a ticket to Paradise.

Will Bennett receive a rose?

Ummmm, how is this a question? Unless he does something awful (and it is 2020 so there’s that), he will receive a rose. He’s charming and goofy and might not make it to the final four, but I think she’s going to want to keep him around a bit longer.

There are some great guys here, and I think Tayshia wants the opportunity to get to know most of them on a deeper level. Remember the season is just beginning for he, so she has a lot of, um, exploring to do. Let’s hope she gives all of them a chance.
