Best available D/STs on the Week 12 waiver wire

Looking for help at defense/special teams? We take a look at four team D/ST units widely available in Yahoo! leagues.

There are a few D/STs widely available that either have good matchups heading into Week 12, or had successful Week 11 performances, or could benefit from an injury. With that in mind, here are four D/STs with under 60% rostership in traditional fantasy football leagues that managers can consider picking up for Week 12.

Week 12 byes: None

New York Giants at Bengals (16 percent)

Next up — @CIN,@SEA, ARI, CLE, @BAL

The Bengals lost Joe Burrow for the season and have Ryan Finley as his backup. With Cincinnati’s weak front line, Finley is going to have trouble moving the ball consistently and will likely be in turnover mode in the fourth quarter as he tries to bring his team back from deficits.

Green Bay Packers vs. Bears (33 percent)

Next up — CHI, PHI, @DET, CAR, TEN

The Bears may end up going back to Mitch Trubisky, but either way, their offense is pure junk. And if the Packers can get a lead, they’d force the Bears to throw, which is what we want Nick Foles or Trubisky doing, a lot.

Seattle Seahawks at Eagles (27 percent)

Next up — @PHI, NYG, NYJ, @WSH, LAR

Even with their best defensive player out last week, the Browns D/ST put up 20 fantasy points on the Eagles. The Seahawks have been awful against the pass, but at this point I don’t think Carson Wentz can make it through the game without a turnover or three.

Washington Football Team at Cowboys (41 percent)

Next up — @DAL, @PIT, @SF, SEA, CAR

Andy Dalton and the Cowboys looked better last week against the Vikings, but the Washington defensive line is better than the Vikings, having accumulated 16 sacks over the last four games. If Dalton gets pressured, he will make mistakes.
