What to do with Cam Newton in Week 11 fantasy football

We go over the fantasy football outlook of Cam Newton ahead of the Patriots Week 11 matchup against the Texans.

Previewing New England at Houston

Cam Newton is finding a way to produce some fantasy points lately. No, these are not the kind of numbers that can carry a team, but he’s settled into a decent baseline level of production thanks to his ability to score on the ground and the Patriots’ willingness to embrace that. This week he has the chance for one of his best fantasy outings of the year against Houston.

Fantasy Football analysis: Patriots QB Cam Newton

Newton threw his first touchdown pass in five games last week against the Ravens, though he only threw for a paltry 118 yards. He added another rushing score to his total, giving him nine on the season. The week before that he found the end zone twice as a runner against the Jets.

Things could improve further this week against the Texans. With the exception of last week’s windy affair in Cleveland, the Texans have given up big passing numbers to opposing quarterbacks since Week 5. Between that and Newton’s ability to produce in the ground game, he could have a very productive day.
