What to do with Andy Dalton in Week 11 fantasy football

We go over the fantasy football outlook of Andy Dalton ahead of the Cowboys Week 11 matchup against the Vikings.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Andy Dalton was activated from the reserve/COVID list earlier this week and is expected to be the starting quarterback for the Cowboys for Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings.

If you’re an owner of Dalton or are considering making a free agency pickup in fantasy, here’s a look at what you should expect.

Fantasy Football analysis: Cowboys QB Andy Dalton

The Dallas offense has been a major struggle ever since Dak Prescott’s injury especially at the quarterback position. Dalton should come in and at least play average NFL football, which would be a major step up from what the Cowboys have been trotting out on the field in recent weeks. In his last full game as a starter, Dalton completed 34 of 54 passes for 266 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions in a 38-10 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

Minnesota is struggling against the pass so far in 2020, ranking 27th in opponents yards per pass attempt. The Vikings allowed just 108 yards passing to the Chicago Bears in their last time out, but it’s tough to judge a team against what Chicago calls an offense. The Cowboys should be able to throw the ball better than they have, but it’s tough to have much confidence in this offense.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Dalton should not be used in fantasy lineups this weekend despite a good matchup. He is a low-end quarterback No. 2 for fantasy purposes.
