It was another disappointing week for Philly fans as the Eagles came up short 27-17 against the Giants. Their division rivals suppressed the offensive production, which in turn affected Miles Sanders. The Eagles lead running back hasn’t lived up to expectations this season, but is the potential still there? Or should we start to put more stock in the backup, Boston Scott?
Fantasy Football analysis: Eagles RBs Miles Sanders, Boston Scott
If it wasn’t for a 56-yard Scott rushing touchdown, which was just one of three carries for the backup, he would’ve been an after thought heading into Week 11. But here we are, left to mull over a 14.4 DKFP performance for Scott and a 13.5 DKFP day for Sanders. It’s a bit troubling, but we have to take those numbers with a grain of salt. Miles Sanders was on the field for 72% of the offensive snaps for the Eagles, and that’s a trend that should continue, health permitting. Even though the Browns have been stingy against the rush this season, Sanders is involved enough in the passing game (five targets per game) to solidify his spot in your starting lineup. While Philly projects to keep Boston in the loop, he doesn’t see enough volume to warrant fantasy consideration.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Sanders. Sit Scott, holding onto him just in case of a Sanders injury.
