Friday update: Taysom Hill will get the start against the Falcons in Week 11, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter. He’ll make for an intriguing DFS and season-long play in a great matchup.

The New Orleans Saints will be without starting quarterback Drew Brees on Sunday due to fractured ribs and a collapsed young. His replacement was assumed to be Jameis Winston, as he had come in to replace him when injured, but news out of New Orleans suggests Taysom Hill could get the start.

Hill has been getting starter’s snaps in practice this week, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. We don’t have anymore information that that, but if true, that’s enough to believe Hill gets the nominal start.

Of course, we could also see a type of committee at the quarterback position too. Sean Payton appears to be set on keeping everyone in the dark on what his offense will look like this week. I would be surprised if we saw Hill get 100 percent of the snaps, like other starting quarterbacks, but I also believed Winston would be the no-doubt starter. At this point, nothing is set in stone.
