In a welterweight bout on the preliminary card of UFC 255, Louis Cosce will take on Sasha Palatnikov Saturday in Las Vegas and available on ESPN+.
The 25-year-old Cosce is 7-0 as an MMA professional, and “The Monster” will be making his UFC debut this weekend. Cosce fought earlier this summer at Dana White’s Contender Series, and defeated Victor Reyna in Round 1 by TKO using punches.
Before he made the jump to UFC, the California native fought at Combate Americas, Bear River FC, and URCC. In his DWCS bout, Cosce was very active landing 13.33 strikes per minute with an accuracy of 51 percent. He also absorbed 4.17 strikes per minute while defending them at 66 percent.
As for Palatnikov, he comes into APEX with a professional fighting record of 5-2, and the 31-year-old is also making his UFC debut. Palatnikov last fought in September at ADW, where he defeated Paulo Henrique in Round 1 by knockout using punches. In his short MMA career, the 6-foot fighter has competed at ADW, AFC, Combat FC, Just MMA 3, and Fight Time Promotions.
