What to do with D.K. Metcalf, Tyler Lockett in Week 11 fantasy football

We go over the fantasy football outlook of D.K. Metcalf, Tyler Lockett ahead of the Seahawks Week 11 matchup against the Cardinals on Thursday Night Football.

Looking at the Top Receiver Options for NFL Week 11

Game status: Tyler Lockett is ACTIVE for Week 11.

Nothing seemed to go well for the Seahawks offense in Week 10, which translated to subpar outings for the team’s top two wideouts. It is worth noting that the Seahawks Week 10 opponents, the Los Angeles Rams, have been the stingiest defense to opposing fantasy quarterbacks and wide receivers this season, so the disappointing performance was not completely unexpected. Fortunately, they will be facing a much more generous secondary in the Arizona Cardinals in Week 11. Do either or both of these receivers deserve a spot in your starting lineup? We break down the fantasy analysis below.

Fantasy Football analysis: Seahawks WRs D.K. Metcalf, Tyler Lockett

D.K. Metcalf is averaging 19.2 PPR points per game so far this year, but he didn’t come anywhere near that mark in Week 10, as he had only two receptions for 28 yards to total 4.8 fantasy points. A disappointing performance like this has only happened one other time for Metcalf this season, in Week 7 against the Cardinals. This was not so much a factor of the Cardinals having a formidable defense, as it was about Tyler Lockett receiving 20 targets to Metcalf’s five in that game . If Russel Wilson distributes the targets more evenly, there’s no reason to believe Metcalf won’t return to his elite form this week. Fire him up as a WR1.

Tyler Lockett had 15 receptions for 200 yards and three touchdowns to total 53 PPR points in Week 7 against none other than the Arizona Cardinals. Odds are, Lockett never has a performance like that again in his career. Fortunately, Lockett can help your fantasy lineups with far fewer than 53 points. The Cardinals have allowed the fifth most points per game to fantasy wideouts this season, and Lockett can be expected to have another solid outing the second time around. Lockett has a knee injury that has him listed as questionable, but Pete Carroll said on Wednesday that he will play. His upside could be mildly decreased due to the injury, but he still belongs in lineups as a WR 1.
