Friday injury report
Alvin Kamara was removed from the injury report and will play as usual against the Falcons.
D’Andre Swift won’t play against the Panthers due to a concussion. Adrian Peterson will get the start.
Joe Mixon is out again. Gio Bernard will start against Washington.
James Robinson was taken off the injury report and will start against the Steelers.
Out: Dwayne Washington (back), Joe Mixon (foot), D’Andre Swift (concussion), Christian McCaffrey (shoulder), Tyler Ervin (wrist, ribs), Trey Edmunds (hamstring), Jaylen Samuels (quadricep)
Doubtful: N/A
Questionable: Jalen Richard (chest), Damien Harris (ankle, chest), Cullen Gillaspia (back)
Thursday injury report
Joe Mixon remained out and doesn’t look likely to play.
Alvin Kamara didn’t practice, but did say that he’s “good.” Friday’s practice will be telling.
James Robinson has had two limited practices this week with a shoulder injury. If he can return to a full practice, he should be okay to face the Steelers.
D’Andre Swift has a concussion and didn’t practice Thursday after practicing on Wednesday. His status for Sunday looks very iffy.
DNP: Alvin Kamara (foot), Dwayne Washington (back), Joe Mixon (foot), D’Andre Swift (concussion), Christian McCaffrey (shoulder), Tyler Ervin (wrist, ribs), Corey Clement (illness), Jaylen Samuels (quadricep), Trey Edmunds (hamstring), Anthony McFarland (illness), Mark Ingram (not injury related)
Limited: Damien Harris (ankle, chest), James Robinson (shoulder), Devine Ozigbo (hamstring)
Full: Ezekiel Elliott (hamstring), Mike Davis (thumb), Matt Breida (hamstring), Senorise Perry (knee)
Wednesday injury report
Alvin Kamara got a limited practice in on Wednesday, as he is nursing a foot injury. At this point, he seems likely to play vs. the Saints.
Matt Breida should return this week after getting a full practice in, but Salvon Ahmed has probably won the starting job for at least one more week.
Carlos Hyde has been taken off the injury report, so will play on TNF, while Chris Carson is considered a game-time decision, but Adam Schefter did report he is unlikely to go against the Cardinals.
Christian McCaffrey is out this week against the Lions and Mike Davis will get the start again.
Joe Mixon remained out of practice due to his foot injury. His status doesn’t look good to start the week of practice. Gio Bernard could get another start this week.
DNP: Dwayne Washington (back), Joe Mixon (foot), Christian McCaffrey (shoulder), Jalen Richard (chest), Duke Johnson (illness), Trey Edmunds (hamstring), Jaylen Samuels (quadricep),
Limited: Alvin Kamara (foot), Alec Ingold (ribs), Devine Ozigbo (hamstring), James Robinson (shoulder)
Full: Ezekiel Elliott (hamstring), Mike Davis (thumb), Matt Breida (hamstring), Anthony McFarland (illness), Senorise Perry (knee),
Last week saw the No. 1 fantasy PPR running back assert his dominance as Alvin Kamara scored three touchdowns against the 49ers. He had a three game touchdown drought before Week 9 and 10 when he met two strong run defenses in the Buccaneers and 49ers and he still scored four touchdowns in that stretch. And his biggest rival for the top fantasy running back crown was shut down, as Dalvin Cook had little running room against the Bears. We’ll see if his workload changes with Drew Brees on the shelf, but how can you not want to get the ball in his hands as much as possible?
Injury news
Carlos Hyde saw an estimated limited practice on Monday while Chris Carson was a DNP.
Christian McCaffrey hasn’t been ruled out, but he’s still iffy to face the Lions.
Joe Mixon’s status is still up in the air, but the team hasn’t put him on I.R., so they must expect him back sooner than later.
Bye weeks
San Francisco 49ers, New York Giants, Chicago Bears, Buffalo Bills

Kalen Ballage, Los Angeles Chargers
Ballage gets to face a second team to have dropped him when the Chargers host the Jets. And he will be the undisputed starter this week after taking over the role the previous two weeks. The Jets are better against the run than the pass, but not enough to scare you away from starting Ballage as an RB2 this week.
Duke Johnson, New England Patriots
Johnson was the no-doubt lead back in his first game taking over for David Johnson last week. Unfortunately, both offenses were slowed by huge wind gusts, as the Texans only managed seven points. This week the weather will be much better in Houston and the Patriots have been weak against the run. I expect a much better game from him this week.
