There are a few D/STs widely available that either have good matchups heading into Week 11, or had successful Week 10 performances, or could benefit from an injury. With that in mind, here are four D/STs with under 60% rostership in traditional fantasy football leagues that managers can consider picking up for Week 10.
Week 11 byes: San Francisco 49ers, New York Giants, Chicago Bears, Buffalo Bills
Los Angeles Chargers vs. Jets (42 percent)
Joe Flacco showed that he still has something in the tank against the Patriots in Week 9, but that doesn’t mean Flacco isn’t who we know him to be. The Chargers defense has underperformed, but against the cross-country traveling 0-9 Jets, I’m happy to run their defense out there this week.
Miami Dolphins at Broncos (58 percent)
I’m late to the Dolphins D/ST party, but they are still rostered in just 58 percent of Yahoo leagues and get a good matchup in Denver. Drew Lock is hurting and coming off a four interception game. If he can go, he’ll likely be less than 100 percent and if he can’t, we’ll probably see Brett Rypien.
Minnesota Vikings vs. Cowboys (55 percent)
The Steelers inability to put up big D/ST fantasy numbers last week may scare some people off targeting the Cowboys off their bye, but they don’t have a quarterback who can consistently win and we should very much be going after them for the rest of the year.
Cleveland Browns vs. Eagles (18 percent)
Carson Wentz isn’t improving as his teammates get healthier. He has 12 interceptions and five lost fumbles on the season while sporting his worst completion percentage and average yards per attempt of his career.
