The 49ers had to play the Packers last week without two of their wide receivers, Brandon Aiyuk and Kendrick Bourne. Both players had to sit out on the COVID/reserve list. But this week against the Saints, all three are good to go, and here’s how to handle this group when it comes to fantasy football.
Fantasy Football analysis: 49ers WRs Brandon Aiyuk, Richie James, Kendrick Bourne
Aiyuk is the top option among this group. He had two monster games before missing last week, catching six passes for 115 yards in Week 7 and hauling in eight of 10 targets for 91 yards and a touchdown in Week 8. With the 49ers liable to be throwing the ball a lot in the second half of this one, Aiyuk has the chance to post big fantasy numbers.
The mix between James and Bourne is a little trickier to interpret. James was the go-to guy last week with the other two players on the COVID list (and Deebo Samuel out with an injury, the same one that’s going to keep him out this week). He finished that game with 184 yards and a touchdown, and it’d be impossible just to put him back on the shelf after an effort like that. Bourne played his best game of the season back in Week 8, catching eight passes for 81 yards. But I like James to get another shot at production this week over Bourne.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Brandon Aiyuk and Richie James. Sit Kendrick Bourne.
