What to do with Marvin Jones, Danny Amendola, Marvin Hall in Week 10 fantasy football

With Kenny Golladay again on the shelf, the Lions available wideouts offer some upside but a very shaky floor in Week 10’s matchup with Washington.

The Detroit Lions dodged a major bullet when quarterback Matthew Stafford came off the COVID-19 list following a negative test. This marked the second time Stafford landed on the list without a confirmed positive test.

But while Stafford’s availability provides some firepower to the passing game, the Lions will once again play without star wideout Kenny Golladay, leaving a weakened receiving corps to pick up the pieces.

Fantasy Football analysis: Lions WRs Marvin Jones, Danny Amendola, Marvin Hall

Marvin Jones hasn’t excelled in Golladay’s absence, but he has found the end zone. The veteran wideout has recorded three touchdowns over the past two weeks, giving fantasy managers some decent value in an offense mostly devoid of it. Still, scoring can disappear quickly for wide receivers, and Jones has just six receptions over the same span.

Danny Amendola leads the Lions with 401 receiving yards, but the 35-year-old doesn’t separate from defenders nor find his way into the end zone with any great frequency at this stage of his career. Even in PPR leagues, he offers little upside even if his floor is higher than Detroit’s other wideouts.

A daring fantasy manager could make a case for Marvin Hall, however. Hall did next to nothing a week ago, but he delivered a four-catch, 113-yard performance against the Indianapolis Colts seven days prior. His big-play potential comes closest to matching Golladay’s, making him a boom-or-bust proposition for Week 10. Even so, Washington does a decent job of defending wideouts, yielding just 132 yards per week and only three total touchdowns on the year.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Start Jones as a WR3 or FLEX.

Sit Amendola and Hall.
