What to do with Jake Luton in Week 10 fantasy football

We go over Jake Luton’s fantasy football outlook ahead of the Jaguars Week 10 matchup against the Packers.

Rookie sixth-round pick Jake Luton made his NFL debut last week, taking over the Jacksonville Jaguars starting quarterback job from an injured (and unofficially benched) Gardner Minshew. His first taste of professional action was just good enough that it may leave some folks wondering if he’s worth a flyer in fantasy football this week

Fantasy Football analysis: Jaguars QB Jake Luton

Luton was 26-for-38 last week, with 304 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. He also managed to run it in for a score, giving his overall stats a nice little boost. But that was against the Texans, whose pass defense isn’t quite on par with who he’ll face this week, the Green Bay Packers.

The Jags will likely focus on running the ball here, given Green Bay’s struggles against the run. However, that’s not likely to last very long, forcing them to chase points. The Packers defense has only picked off opposing passers three times this season, but with the unknown of a rookie quarterback chasing points, that total could go up. I’d avoid Luton this week.
