The PGA Tour is into the weekend at August National Golf Club for the Masters, but the November tournament has been regularly impacted by rain and an earlier sunset. Round 1 was delayed by rain and then suspended due to darkness. That resulted in a delayed start to Round 2 on Friday and then having the end of that round suspended. The second round is wrapping up on Saturday morning and then Round 3 will get underway later in the morning.
As of 9 a.m. the last golfers are on the 14th hole. The PGA Tour announced plans for the third round to get going at 10:30 a.m. ET. Once the second round wraps, we’ll get tee times for Round 3.
Tee times and groupings in the first two rounds of PGA tournaments using a merit system based on a player’s status on the Tour. Tee times and groupings for the third and fourth rounds of tournaments are based on the leaderboard in the preceding round.
We have a five-way tie atop the leaderboard at the moment. Abraham Ancer, Cameron Smith, Justin Thomas, Dustin Johnson, and Jon Rahm are all sitting at -9, with Rahm on the final hole. There’s a five-way tie behind them at -8, with Patrick Reed on 17. Tiger Woods is at -4 and on the 15th hole. The cut line is even par and it looks like Tiger is on track to make it into the final two rounds.
