In a welterweight bout for UFC Vegas 14, Abdul Razak Alhassan will take on Khaos Williams in the co-main event Saturday live from Las Vegas and available on ESPN+.
The 35-year-old Alhassan is entering this contest as the favorite, with a professional fighting record of 10-2. “Judo Thunder” Alhassan last fought at UFC on ESPN 13 in July, where he lost by unanimous decision to Mounir Lazzez.
Alhassan will be looking to win this match using his striking ability. All of the TKOs in his career have come via punch. He averages 4.54 strikes per minute with an accuracy of 48 percent. But he takes a lot of significant strikes in return, absorbing 5.05 per minute with defense at 53 percent.
As for Williams, he is coming into the UFC APEX as the underdog. The 26-year-old rookie has a professional fighting record of 10-1. At his UFC debut in February, “Khaos the Ox Fighter” knocked out Alex Morono in Round 1 using punches. Before joining the UFC, the Lansing, MI native competed at WXC, Beijing Combat, TWC, KOTC, and KOP.
Note: Alhassan missed the welterweight limit by 1.5 pounds, and will be forfeiting 20% of his purse to Williams. Alhassan will also be ineligible for any Fight Night bonuses from the UFC.
