Gameday Update: Ben Roethlisberger appears to be on track to play through the two knee injuries he suffered in Week 9, but his healthy could limit the fantasy upside of Johnson and Washington. Washington has been an afterthought since Washington returned from injury and is easily the better option between the two.
The Pittsburgh Steelers play an important, but lopsided, divisional game against the Cincinnati Bengals this week. Favored by more than a touchdown, it’s the kind of game that could be a real fantasy football bonanza for their wide receivers, but which ones?
Fantasy Football analysis: Steelers WRs Diontae Johnson, James Washington
The clear choice here is Johnson. Last week against the Cowboys, a game that turned out to be a lot closer than it should have, he had six catches on 10 targets for 77 yards. Though he had a down game in the week before that, he had a very good 80-yard, two-touchdown effort against the Titans in Week 7.
Washington just doesn’t have much to do with Johnson healthy. Since Johnson’s return to action, he’s had just one catch and four targets in three games. Safe to say, you can leave him on the wire this week.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Diontae Johnson. Sit James Washington.
