Gameday Update — Higgins will continue to start opposite Landry as an OBJ replacement. He could be less of a focal point now that Austin Hooper is set to return from a two-week layoff.
With quarterback Baker Mayfield struggling lately, the Cleveland Browns wide receivers are not exactly thriving. Even with Odell Beckham out for the season, both Jarvis Landry and Rashard Higgins are not producing at a consistent enough level to help their team or make them viable fantasy football options.
Fantasy Football analysis: Browns WRs Jarvis Landry, Rashard Higgins
Landry led the team’s receivers in their last game with 11 targets. Unfortunately, he only came up with four catches and produced just 52 yards, which actually represents one of his better outputs this season. Higgins had that one huge game back in Week 7, when he rolled up 110 yards on six catches. He disappointed everyone who rushed to snag him off the waiver wire in the game after that, catching just one pass for a whole 14 yards.
Landry is the most consistent performer here, and is a low-end option for fantasy this week against a weak Texans secondary. The target volume is there, but the numbers rarely match.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Jarvis Landry. Sit Rashard Higgins.
