Picking stud defenses can be extremely hard when it comes it fantasy football. It’s often hit or miss. We have our eyes on a two D/STs that could put up strong numbers in Week 10 and two that could flop. Here are are some ideal plays and fades ahead of the action.
D/ST Starts
Washington Football Team vs. Detroit Lions
Detroit could be without Kenny Golladay for a second straight game in Week 10 and Matthew Stafford could be running for his life against one of the better defensive lines in the NFL. Washington is among the league leaders with 27 sacks and has allowed the fourth-fewest passing yards in the NFL.
Philadelphia Eagles vs. New York Giants
Philly has a top 10 fantasy defense and is up against one of the most offensively challenged teams in the NFL. The game was close the last time these two teams met but the Eagles forced three turnovers and sacked Daniel Jones three times. They’re capable of doing the same again on the road.
D/ST Sits
Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cincinnati Bengals
The Steelers let fantasy managers down in a big way in Week 10 by not thrashing the depleted Dallas Cowboys. Joe Burrow and company have scored 27 points or more in three straight games. While Cincinnati’s rushing attack might not be great without Joe Mixon, its abundance of quality pass catchers could prevent Pittsburgh from dominating.
New Orleans Saints vs. San Francisco 49ers
New Orleans has dominated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this year but hasn’t completely shut down any other team. San Francisco managed to put up 17 points on the Green Bay Packers with a skeleton crew group on offense but are set to get back Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk from the Covid-19 list in Week 10. Jordan Reed should also be more involved after logging just 13 snaps in his first game back from the IR in Week 9. The 49ers have more firepower than you think and can get significant contributions from their running backs.
