2 RBs to start and 2 RBs to fade in Week 10 fantasy football

We go over who you should start and who you should sit at running back for Week 10.

Several running backs unexpectedly exceeded expectations in Week 9 while others had disappointing outings. We’ve got our eye on some boom and bust candidates for Week 10’s action. We’ve taken injuries and matchups into account to determine two options worth starting and two to consider sitting ahead of the action.

Running Back Starts

Duke Johnson, Houston Texans vs. Cleveland Browns

Johnson amassed 20 touches after David Johnson suffered a concussion in Week 9. While the Browns are strong against the run, Duke is also one of the best pass-catching backs in the NFL. His diverse skill set and Houston’s lack of depth behind him could lead to a ton of exposure if the usual starter isn’t an option.

Antonio Gibson, Washington Football Team vs. Detroit Lions

Gibson only tallied six carries against the Indianapolis Colts his last time out but now faces one of the worst run defenses in the NFL. Detroit’s defense ranks 32nd against running backs and Gibson is forcing missed tackles at an alarming rate. He’ll have big play potential if he gets into space and his 84.6 percent catch rate gives him solid PPR upside.

Running Back Sits

Ronald Jones II, Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Carolina Panthers

Jones is being phased out of the offense and only tallied a season-low three carries for nine yards against the New Orleans Saints in Week 9. While Fournette only recorded one carry on Sunday, his power running was dominant against the Panthers earlier this year. Fournette has played more snaps than Jones in two straight games and has been the more dynamic receiver of the two.

Darrell Henderson Jr., Los Angeles Rams vs. Seattle Seahawks

Henderson has busted for three straight weeks. While he was able to use a Week 9 bye to recover from the thigh injury he suffered in Week 8, running backs have struggled to get the better of Seattle. It’s likely that the Rams’ running back usage will be decided by situational factors.
