Deebo Samuel ruled out for Week 10

The 49ers look like they will be without WR Deebo Samuel for Week 10

Friday update: The 49ers ruled out Deebo Samuel for Week 10.

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel has yet to practice this week, as he wasn’t practicing on Thursday, per ESPN’s Nick Wagoner. Samuel suffered a hamstring injury in Week 7 against the Dolphins. Coach Kyle Shanahan was hopeful that Samuel would return this week against the Saints, but it doesn’t look like he will now.

Samuel started the season on injured reserve with a foot injury and didn’t return until Week 4, so the team is used to having him out at this point, but with Jimmy Garoppolo, George Kittle and Raheem Mostert also out, the team has a huge hole in their offense that Samuel would help fill.

The 49ers will get Brandon Aiyuk back from the Covid-19 list, which will be a much needed addition to their depleted offense. They’ll need all the help they can get against a Saints team that is getting healthier and playing well.
