Wide receiver non-PPR rankings for Week 10 fantasy football

We take you through some of the best non-PPR wide receivers going in Week 10 for fantasy football, including a few viable streamers.

Final injury report

Out: John Ross (foot), Laviska Shenault (hamstring), Deebo Samuel (hamstring), Dontrelle Inman (hamstring), Kenny Golladay (hip)
Questionable: N’Keal Harry (concussion), Jerry Jeudy (shoulder), Diontae Spencer (shoulder), Darrius Shepherd (shoulder), Equanimeous St. Brown (knee), Golden Tate (knee), River Cracraft (quadricep), Trent Taylor (back), Penny Hart (knee), Freddie Swain (foot), Jeff Badet (hamstring), Jamal Agnew (ribs)

Thursday injury report

The biggest change on the injury report saw D.J. Chark added due to an illness. The Jaguars made it clear this was no related to Covid-19, but we’ll want to see at least a limited Friday from Chark.

Other than that, we saw John Brown and JuJu Smith-Schuster both get in full work after a day off. Add in Alshon Jeffery getting a second straight full workout in, and some notable wide receivers are getting healthier at the right time.

DNP: D.J. Chark (illness), Darrius Shepherd (shoulder), Deebo Samuel (hamstring), Kenny Golladay (hip),

Limited: N’Keal Harry (concussion), John Ross (foot), Laviska Shenault (hamstring), Equanimeous St. Brown (knee), Sterling Shepard (toe, hip), Golden Tate (knee), Michael Thomas (ankle, hamstring), Dontrelle Inman (hamstring), Jamal Agnew (ribs), Allen Robinson (knee), Cooper Kupp (oblique), Scotty Miller (hip/groin). Chris Godwin (finger)

Full: John Brown (knee), JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee), Bryan Edwards (ankle), Jarvis Landry (hip), Alshon Jeffery (calf), Freddie Swain (foot, shoulder), Adam Thielen (shoulder)

Wednesday injury report

Jerry Jeudy’s shoulder injury is the most notable new name added to the DNPs. Of that could, Kenny Golladay is a decent bet to not play on Sunday, but most of the rest of the DNPs are likely getting normal rest days and should be fine for Sunday. It will be worth keeping an eye on Jeudy’s Thursday practice status.

One notable upgrade is N’Keal Harry. He has been out with a concussion but returned to limited practice on Thursday. He’s trending in the right direction.

DNP: John Brown (knee), JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee), Jerry Jeudy (shoulder), Darrius Shepherd (shoulder), Dontrelle Inman (hamstring), Kenny Golladay (hip)
Limited: N’Keal Harry (concussion), Tim Patrick (hamstring), Diontae Spencer (shoulder), Laviska Shenault (hamstring), Equanimeous St. Brown (knee), Sterling Shepard (toe, hip), Michael Thomas (ankle, hamstring), Chris Godwin (finger), Scott Miller (hip, groin), Jeff Badet (hamstring), Jamal Agnew (ribs)
Full: Bryan Edwards (ankle), Jarvis Landry (hip), Alshon Jeffery (calf)

Week 9 gave us typical results — for 2020, that is. Richie James led the pack in fantasy points in standard scoring formats, posting nine catches for 184 yards and a score. The 49ers scraped the bottom of the barrel for receivers, and they came up with James, who still couldn’t help the fight. For the record, James holds a career-high of 264 receiving yards in the 2019 season... so he’s almost there.

Other notable performances include the likes of Breshad Perriman, Curtis Samuel, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and, of course, Jakobi Myers. Week by week, it only becomes more abundantly clear that the top-end wideouts of 2020 fantasy drafts were Davante Adams and Tyreek Hill, and it’s not remotely close.

Injury news

The two injuries that will be those concerning to fantasy managers heading into Week 10 will be those of Kenny Golladay (hip) and Calvin Ridley (foot). Luckily, the Atlanta Falcons are entering a bye, which provides Ridley some extra time to heal up. Kenny Golladay, however, isn’t so lucky to happen across a bye. Golladay’s hip injury hasn’t been formally announced, and his status for Week 10 remains unknown.

Other injuries to monitor include that of Sammy Watkins (hamstring), who gets a bye and could return after the break.

To players to note for Thursday Night Football: T.Y. Hilton (groin) has been announced as being “very close” to a return. Adam Humphries suffered a concussion in Week 8 that required him to be carted off of the field. The short week should be of concern to anyone hoping on their fantasy production for Week 10.

Dolphins wideout Preston Williams left Week 9’s outing on a cart following his fourth touchdown catch of the season. The Dolphins describe him as “day-to-day” with a foot sprain, but monitoring practice reports will be key to understanding his progress into Week 10.

Week 10 byes

The Atlanta Falcons, Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs and New York Jets are on bye in Week 10. Fantasy managers will be without several top-tier wide receivers, including Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley, the Cowboys trio and Tyreek Hill. Breshad Perriman and Jamison Crowder are out as well.

Streaming options

Brandin Cooks, Texans

The Texans have certainly seen an uptick in offensive tempo without Bill O’Brien on the sideline. With that has come the arrival of Brandin Cooks. Cooks is averaging nearly five catches per game and has managed a score in three of his last four games. This week, Texans will face the Cleveland Browns who are returning from bye. The Browns have allowed just three 100-receiving yard performances all season, but they have been generous with touchdowns — tying for the fifth-most receiving touchdowns allowed to WRs on the season.

Darnell Mooney, Bears

Nick Foles has been (quietly) feeding Darnell Mooney targets while he earned a starting position on the field in each of the last two weeks. In that span, he’s seen 17 targets, reeling in 10 for 112 receiving yards and a score. This week, the Bears will face the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football. This defensive unit has allowed an average of two scores per game to wide receivers, including four games with 2+ TDs to a single receiver. Mooney poses some touchdown upside as a new preferred target for the Bears.
