The Kent State Golden Flashes will head on the road to take on the Bowling Green Eagles on Tuesday night at Doyt L. Perry Stadium in Bowling Green, Ohio.

Kent State is coming off a victory in its season opener on Wednesday over Eastern Michigan 27-23. Quarterback Dustin Crum completed 21 of his 29 passes for 219 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. He also rushed for 35 yards and a touchdown on eight carries and found Isaiah McKoy eight times for 104 and a touchdown. Bryan Bradford led the Golden Flashes with 72 yards rushing on 12 carries.

Bowling Green will go for its first win of the season after falling to Toledo 38-3 on the road last Wednesday. The offense struggled mightily with Matt McDonald completing just 8 of 30 passes for 128 yards and two interceptions. He led the team in rushing with 41 rushing yards on three carries. Andrew Clair had the most attempts with 12 but he finished with just 37 yards. It was certainly a night to forget for Bowling Green on both sides of the ball.

Kent State won the last two games of this series including 62-20 at home in 2019.

The Best Bet

Bowling Green allowed 35 points or more in nine of its 12 games in 2019, and the defense allowed 524 yards in the season opener. While that side of the ball has no signs of improving any time soon, there’s no way the offense plays as bad as it did in its first game of the season. Three turnovers are a killer, and that’s unlikely to happen two weeks in a row. Let’s root for some points.
