How to handle Tyler Higbee’s injury in Week 8 fantasy football

Tyler Higbee is on the Rams final injury report for Week 8. We break down what it means for fantasy football roster decisions.

Game status: Higbee is ACTIVE for Week 8.

Game day update: Ian Rapoport’s tweet would seem to indicate Higbee is a decent bet to sit on Sunday against the Dolphins. It’s an early game, so we’ll get a handle on this at 11:30 a.m. ET.

Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee is still dealing with a hand injury, and he is officially listed as questionable on this week’s injury report. Head coach Sean McVay said that Higbee will be a game-time decision.

Fantasy impact: Tyler Higbee (hand)

Higbee missed last week’s game with his hand injury. He was able to get in some limited work at practice this week, but game-time decisions are always tricky for fantasy purposes.

Last week without Higbee in the lineup, Gerald Everertt caught four of five passes for 28 yard and a touchdown, his first of the season. The Rams, however, are pretty committed to splitting the workload between two tight ends, so Everertt’s upside is still limited even if Higbee doesn’t play.

Higbee has 18 catches on 21 targets for 222 yards and three touchdowns, all three of which came in a Week 2 game against the Eagles. Everett has 196 yards and a touchdown on 15 catches (18 targets) this season
