What to do with TJ Hockenson in Week 8 fantasy football

We go over TJ Hockenson’s fantasy football outlook ahead of the Lions Week 8 matchup against the Colts.

TJ Hockenson was the Week 7 hero for the Detroit Lions, as he secured the game-winning touchdown as time expired against the Atlanta Falcons. In a position that lacks trustworthy fantasy options, owners have found comfort with Hockenson. Will that change in Week 8 against the Colts?

Fantasy Football analysis: Lions TE TJ Hockenson

As was the case with most of the Lions receiving corps last week, Hockenson put up his highest fantasy total of the season. He totaled five receptions for 59 yards and, of course, the one touchdown for 16.9 DKFP. TJ now ranks seventh in fantasy points per game among all tight ends, never scoring less than 9.3 DKFP. The only hitch is the Colts defense. Indianapolis has the tendency to limit tight ends, which has resulted in an allowance of zero touchdowns for the position. At any rate, Hockenson is likely the best TE option on your team since the position is so thin.
