Facing off in a bantamweight bout on the preliminary card of UFC Fight Island 5, Ali AlQaisi will meet Tony Kelley live from Fight Island in Abu Dhabi and also available on ESPN+ this Saturday.
Kelley will be entering the fight as the early favorite, with a 6-2 MMA record and 0-1 in the UFC. Kelley threw the exact same amount of strikes in his lone loss to Kai Kamaka, but was taken down five times and held without a takedown of his own. He was more accurate on his 7.6 strikes per minute. That fight was just under two months ago so Kelley, who stands 5-foot-9 and weights 135 pounds, is looking to avenge his loss.
The Jordan-born Ali “The Royal Fighter” AlQaisi is 8-4 at the MMA level and also 0-1 in the UFC. He lost via split decision just over two months ago to Irwin Rivera in a fight he actually led on significant strikes 44-36, with two takedowns for each competitor.
This could be a career-changing fight for both fighters. Whoever plays to their strength will likely win this fight, and the moneyline gives the edge to Kelley.
Here are the betting odds at DraftKings Sportsbook for Ali AlQaisi vs. Tony Kelley at UFC Fight Island 5 on October 10th.
