The Minnesota Vikings returned to practice on Wednesday to open Week 5, and wide receiver Adam Thielen is a new addition to the injury report. Thielen was listed as limited with a shoulder injury. He had not appeared on prior injury reports and there is no indication he left Week 4 with an injury.
The Vikings travel to face the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday Night Football this week, and given how well Seattle’s offense has performed to date, Kirk Cousins will need as many options as he can get. Cousins has attempted 100 passes through four weeks and 51 have been to Thielen and Justin Jefferson. He has targeted Dalvin Cook 11 times, and then nobody else in double digits.
There does not seem to be much concern over Thielen’s status. We’ll keep an eye on the Thursday and Friday injury reports, but he seems a good bet to play this Sunday.
