Nick Foles had an underwhelming Week 4 after taking the starting quarterback job from Mitchell Trubisky. The Chicago Bears only put up 11 points in a loss to the Indianapolis Colts in Week 3 with Foles under center, but appear to be sticking with him in Week 5 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Can he rebound and put up a solid fantasy line?
Fantasy Football analysis: Bears QB Nick Foles
Foles was magic in Week 3 against the Falcons and threw for 188 yards and three scores, despite being on the bench for more than half the game. He’s only completing 59.1 percent of his passes, so he’ll likely have to throw for multiple touchdowns to be worth playing. Tampa Bay has stuffed the run all season, so I expect David Montgomery to be bottled up. The Buccaneers have also been solid against the pass though, so it could be difficult for Foles to produce.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
I’d sit Foles in this one. Tampa Bay is well-rounded on defense and he’s yet to put together a quality game from start to finish.
