Best available wide receivers on the Week 5 waiver wire

Looking for help at wide receiver? We take a look at four wide receivers available in most Yahoo! leagues.

There are some wide receivers widely available that either have good matchups heading into Week 5 or will see more work due to injury, or just had successful Week 4 performances. With that in mind, here are four WRs with under 50% ownership at traditional fantasy football leagues that managers can consider picking up in their leagues.

Scotty Miller, Buccaneers (16 percent)

Miller is already becoming one of Tom Brady’s favorite targets in Tampa Bay and ranks second on the team with 21 targets. He’s second on the team in receptions with 15 but leads the Buccaneers with 250 receiving yards. Losing O.J. Howard to an Achilles injury in Week 4 could make Miller more of a focal point moving forward. If Chris Godwin continues to miss time with his knee injury, we’ll be seeing a lot more Miller action . Tee Higgins, Bengals (33 percent)

I’m tired of banking on A.J. Green having a breakout game, and it seems like Higgins is on the come up. Higgins has two fewer receptions than the supposed WR1 on 11 fewer targets and is second to Tyler Boyd in receiving yards. Higgins has looked better each week while Green has looked washed up. Higgins’ size could mike him a premium red zone target for Burrow. Up next — @BAL, @IND, CLE, TEN, BYE

Hunter Renfrow, Raiders (42 percent)

Believe it or not, Derek Carr can’t throw the ball to Darren Waller every play. Renfrow has had to step it up while Henry Ruggs III and Bryan Edwards are injured and is second to only Waller in receptions (16), targets (22), and receiving yards (199). Up next — @KC, BYE, TB, @CLE, @LAC

Deep League Add

Jeff Smith, Jets (0 percent)

New York is banged up all over, and Smith led all Jets receivers with 73 snaps in Week 4 Smith has sub-4.3 speed and used it to amass seven receptions for 81 yards. Jamison Crowder is Sam Darnold’s top target, but Smith might’ve opened the door to put up some big numbers for New York as its season goes down the drain. Up next — ARI, @LAC, BUF, @KC, NE
