The first regularly schedule bye week of the 2020 NFL season is finally upon us, and that means some quality players won’t be available fantasy football. The Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions won’t be taking the field in Week 5, and we’ve identified some of the top fantasy options on each side that you should work around
The Packers’ big three of Aaron Rodgers, Aaron Jones, and Davante Adams are name you need to look out for most. Rodgers is the centerpiece of the NFL’s most productive offense through three weeks. While he’s down two of his top three receivers, Adams will likely remain one of the most targeted players in the NFL this season. Jones will be among the league leaders in yards from scrimmage if he continues to get a boatload of touches.
The Lions don’t have as much star power on offense, but do have some desirable fantasy football plays. Matthew Stafford and Kenny Golladay have combined for 119 yards and two scores in two games together and have looked like one of Detroit’s most reliable option through the air. Then there’s T.J. Hockenson, who leads the Lions in receptions (13) and receiving yards (171) in 2020 at tight end. There are a couple of viable running backs worth playing. Adrian Peterson has established himself as the primary back, but Kerryon Johnson and D’Andre Swift can both spell him at times and have plenty of scoring potential.
