What to do with Derek Carr in Week 4 fantasy football

The Raiders have a tough matchup this week against the Bills.

Derek Carr is quietly having a decent season. Through three games he’s thrown for six touchdowns and not a single interception. However, he does have three fumbles, including one last week that turned into a Patriots score. Carr’s solid numbers still pretty middle of the road for fantasy, and he’s got a tough one this week with the Bills.

Fantasy Football analysis: Raiders QB Derek Carr

Carr didn’t have his preferred target, tight end Darren Waller, available much last week, as the Patriots defense erased him from the game script. I’m sure it’s a move the Bills will try to repeat on Sunday.

On the other hand, the Bills weren’t able to keep Jared Goff from finding the end zone three times last week, including one scramble for a score, and they launched a Ryan Fitzpatrick hot streak back in Week 2. In other words, Carr can have a decent game this week. It helps his fantasy prospects that the Bills score a lot of points, setting up a potential shootout where the Raiders have to throw the ball. I like him as a fill-in this week, and at $5,300 in DraftKings leagues, he’s a bargain for those who want to spend big on the other positions.
