What to do with Joe Burrow in Week 4 fantasy football

Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals were left with a tie in Philadelphia last week. Burrow was under pressure often but was able to get the ball away to players such as Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins, who helped the 2020 No. 1 pick to finish with more than 300 passing yards for a second consecutive week. He has a friendly matchup in Week 4 versus the Jacksonville Jaguars.

It hasn’t been a smooth ride for Burrow as he made some classic rookie mistakes and often finds himself having to run for his life because of a sieve-like offensive line that has already allowed a league-high 14 sacks. But through it all, Burrow has played well under pressure and posted solid fantasy stats. He surpassed 20 points in Weeks 2 and 3 despite having much less success as a runner than he did in Week 1. He has thrown five touchdowns in the last two games, and since the Bengals really can’t run the ball and have been mediocre on defense, Burrow has been forced to throw more than 100 times combined in those two games. The Jaguars have permitted seven passing TDs in three weeks and have allowed at least 19.8 fantasy points to each of the three QBs they have faced: Philip Rivers, Ryan Tannehill and Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Priced at $6,300, Burrow is the 12th-most expensive QB on DraftKings’ slate, which is about right for his low-end QB1/high-end QB2 production so far. Fantasy owners should expect more of the same in a fairly easy matchup.
