What to do with James Robinson, Chris Thompson in Week 4 fantasy football

There’s a clear favorite among Jacksonville’s running backs.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are not hurting at running back despite dumping past first-round pick Leonard Fournette prior to the season. Both James Robinson and Chris Thompson are seeing plenty of work so far this season, but it’s Robinson who has a clear edge when it comes to fantasy football.

Fantasy Football analysis: Jaguars RBs James Robinson, Chris Thompson

Robinson is averaging just over 14 carries so far this season. He’s a clear favorite on early downs and the preferred option when the Jags are running the ball. Thompson has just four carries. The former also has 210 yards and three touchdowns so far this season. And despite Thompson seeing more time on the field for passing downs, Robinson still managed to roll up 83 receiving yards last week.

This week the Jags will be in Cincinnati for a winnable game against the Bengals. They should be able to lean on the run for this one too, making Robinson a solid starter in lineups this week. Thompson doesn’t have much fantasy value.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Start James Robinson. Sit Chris Thompson.
