Miles Johns and Kevin Natividad meet in a bantamweight bout on the undercard of UFC Vegas 12 on October 31st. It’s a matchup between two pretty similar fighters. From records, skill sets and physical profiles, something will have to give in this one.

Johns is 10-1, 2-1 in the UFC and ready for a rebound fight after losing to Mario Bautista for his first loss in the promotion in February last time out. A great stand-up competitor, power and grappling has been a struggle so the longer this has can stay standing, the better for Johns. He’s averaged 3.19 strikes per minute in the octagon.

At 9-1, Kevin Natividad is a grappler first. If he can use that advantage together with his four-inch reach advantage, he can spring the upset in his UFC debut. Natividad has a five fight win streak which he’ll look to extend, and “Quicksand” has won his last four in the Legacy Fighting Alliance promotion.

This should be a very competitive bout between two fighters with something to prove and an excellent lid-lifter.

Here are the betting splits at DraftKings Sportsbook for Miles Johns vs. Kevin Natividad at UFC Vegas 12 on October 31st.

Betting splits

Miles Johns: -182, (27% of action, 54% of bets)
Kevin Natividad: +145, (73% of action, 46% of bets)

DraftKings DFS Values

Miles Johns: $8,400
Kevin Natividad: $7,800

Johns certainly has value with more UFC experience and coming off a loss. It’s always tough to handicap opponents that haven’t appeared in the octagon before, and while Natividad seems competent, so many get swallowed up by the bright lights the first time. Johns at just $67 over par value is a play here.
