In the only welterweight bout of UFC Vegas 12, Cole Williams will take on Jason Witt in a preliminary card fight live from Las Vegas, Nevada, this Saturday and also available on ESPN+.

For this bout Williams missed weight by an astonishing 4.5 pounds yesterday, and because of it will forfeit 40% of his purse to Witt.

Witt will enter as a slim favorite in the bout, but a vast majority of the public are betting on him. He’ll enter the fight with a 17-6 MMA record and just one UFC bout, a loss in June to Takashi Sato where he was knocked out in 48 seconds. “The Vanilla Gorilla” has seven submission victories to his name, so he’s certainly a competent grappler.

Facing an opponent with an oddly similar resume, Cole “Havoc” Williams has just one UFC fight, a loss to Claudio Silva. With an 11-2 MMA record, Williams has been able to win with knockouts and submissions, and was on a nine-fight win streak before losing to Silva.

Here are the betting splits at DraftKings Sportsbook for Cole Williams vs. Jason Witt at UFC Vegas 12 on October 31st.

Betting splits

Cole Williams: +119, (17% of action, 27% of bets)
Jason Witt: -148, (83% of action, 73% of bets)

DraftKings DFS Values

Cole Williams: $7,900
Jason Witt: $8,300

The value here is on Witt. He’ll enter as a slight favorite, but with now two massive weight misses for Williams, his conditioning has to be considered suspect. These preliminary cards are tough to predict, but they’ll be where you either win or lose the contest. And Witt clearly feels like the stronger play with better value.
