In a light heavyweight bout on the undercard of UFC Vegas 12, Dustin Jacoby will take on Justin Ledet Saturday in Las Vegas, which is available on ESPN+.
The 32-year-old Jacoby takes to the octagon with a 12-5 record, and is his return to the UFC full roster following an 0-2 stint in 2011-12. He defeated Ty Flores in August at Dana White’s Contender Series by unanimous decision to get back in the black octagon.
Before DWCS, Jacoby took down Cody East in June 2019 via unanimous decision at SCL 74. “The Hanyak” is a good striker who can grapple when he needs to. He lands 3.40 strikes per minute with a striking accuracy of 46 percent across his now-decade long UFC career.
Ledet is heading into the UFC APEX with a record of 9-3 (1 NC). The 32-year-old from Houston will be looking to avenge his last loss in the octagon from UFC 246 in February, where “El Blanco” lost to Aleksa Camur by a unanimous decision. He’s 3-3 in the UFC, but has dropped three straight and is without a victory since September 2017 at UFC Fight Night 116.
The 6-foot-4 Ledet lands 3.33 strikes per minute with an accuracy of 39 percent. When it comes to strikes absorbed, he takes a bunch of them at 4.67 per minute. “El Blanco” isn’t a good defender in comparison to Jacoby as he defends at a 49 percent rate. He also has a 0.24 takedown average per 15 minutes with a 50 percent takedown accuracy and takedown defense of 42 percent.
