In a heavyweight bout on the main card of UFC Vegas 12, Maurice Greene will take on former NFL player Greg Hardy live from Las Vegas this Saturday and also available on ESPN+.

Hardy will open as a heavy favorite in this bout. Drafted in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL Draft, Hardy’s transition to UFC has been a sight to see after being named to the Pro Bowl back in 2013. With just one non-UFC fight, Hardy’s 6-2 record with one no contest has been almost all at the UFC level. He doesn’t have a takedown in his career and has allowed just one, so this fight won’t be one featuring a ton of grappling.

Hardy averages 4.48 significant strikes per minute and absorbs 2.79. He hits 48 percent of his attempts and defends 58 percent of his opponents. At 6-foot-5, “Prince of War” does have a three-round unanimous-decision loss to Alexander Volkov on his resume.

Maurice Green, “The Crochet Boss,” is 9-5 in his MMA career, having won his most recent bout against Gian Willante. He’s 4-1 in the UFC with all five of his fights coming in the last 24 months. Averaging 4.31 significant strikes per minute, Greene has a 44 percent strike accuracy. What’s scary is that he takes 3.96 significant strikes per minute and defends just 47 percent. Greene’s had just one decision in his UFC career, so this bout likely won’t see all 15 minutes go by.

This is the only heavyweight bout in the event, and should be an entertaining one at that.

Here are the betting odds at DraftKings Sportsbook for Maurice Greene vs. Greg Hardy at UFC Vegas 12 on October 31st.
