On the main card of UFC Vegas 12, Kevin Holland will take the octagon with Charlie Ontiveros in a middleweight bout this Saturday live from Las Vegas, Nevada and available on ESPN+.

Holland will open as the favorite, and is on a three-match win streak. With wins over Darren Steward, Joaquin Buckley and Anthony Hernandez all this year, he should lock up a top-15 fighter if he can down Muradov. With a 19-5 MMA career Holland is 7-2 in the UFC, averaging 4.69 significant strikes per minute. He hits with 56 percent accuracy while absorbing 2.85 per minute and defending 56 percent of strikes flying his way. Despite one five-takedown bout back in 2018, Holland hasn’t shown to be an overly confident grappler. He’ll want this fight on his feet.

That might draw some trouble for Charlie Ontiveros. “The American Bad Boy” was tossed into this event after Makhmud Muradov withdrew earlier this week. 11-6 in his MMA career, Ontiveros may struggle against Holland. He’s had all six of his losses come via knockout. The 6-foot-2 29-year-old will be making his UFC debt.

It’ll be time to show if he belongs on the promotion, and it couldn’t come at a better time for Ontiveros. On the main card, he has four knockouts and two submissions in those 11 victories. He’ll have a shot, and if he can come out on top, it’ll be one impressive victory.

Two up-and-coming fighters, this bout may be one of the most entertaining on the main card.

Here are the betting odds from various sportsbooks for Kevin Holland vs. Charlie Ontiveros at UFC Vegas 12 on October 31st.
